I absolutely love this hot oil treatment! My hair is softer immediately after first use. I am using the hot oil treatment once every three days now, because my hair is really damaged. I plan to continue to use the treatment every fortnight when my hair is (hopefully) recovered.
About the Oils:
Coconut oil is very nourishing, and due to the molecular structure, it reconditions the dry and damaged hair very effectively. The presence of capric acid, vitamin E, and lauric acid aid in restoring the hair’s vitality and strength.
Castor oil is high in ricinoleic acid and omega 9 fatty acid; the earlier is a natural antibacterial and anti-fungal agent that helps in hair growth, the latter helps to nourish the hair and follicle. Accordingly, it aids in adding glossy effect to hair.
Apricot Kernel Oil contains linoleum acid and oleic acid that are unsaturated fats, and is rich in vitamin B17, A, C, E, which are effective ingredients for hair care. This oil helps to cure split ends and treat exceptionally dry hair.
Rosemary essential oil is commonly used to stimulate hair growth and hair health.

The Avocado Banana Hair Mask
This is a fruit based hair mask. The fruits used are avocado and banana.
Avocado is high in healing nutrients (phytochemicals, antioxidant, amino acids, and minerals) which promotes hair growth, nourishes and strengthens hair; most important, it heals damaged hair ends. (VERY important factor for me!)
Whereas banana has many nutrients (similar to avocado actually) that prevents split ends and soften the hair texture.
Grapeseed oil is high in linoleic acid (omega-6 fatty acid) that combats dryness and sealing the moisture.
Rosemary essential oil is broadly used to prevent hair loss, but honestly, I use this only because I don’t want to smell like walking banana or avocado!
* You can replace the oils with something else that you are more suited – you will need to look them up and experiment *… Read More Avocado Banana Hair Mask for Dry Hair

I am liking the homemade reed diffuser more than the ones that are pre-mixed. Don’t get me wrong, the pre-mixed is convenient and offers a wide range of scents to suit your needs, however, it does contain more alcohol and chemicals even, and can come off a tad too strong at times. I love the… Read More Organic Jojoba Oil | Multi-Purpose Natural Oil
I have heightened senses system. One of the mood affecting – in fact, it’s probably neurological too – effects is scent. I don’t like to light the candles – actually I like the poetically… Read More Homemade (Natural) Reed Diffuser | Tutorial
I have always loved aromatic essential oils, I supposed most women do. I used to love sandal wood scent very much, but for some weird reasons, I develop migraine with that scent. A tad too strong for me, perhaps? Now, I stay clear of anything ‘woody’, or too musky. I love Green Tea scent, it… Read More Reed Diffuser | Product Review
