LIS WRITES promotes nurturing metacognition by mindful introspection to become more aware of the inner workings of one’s mind that have effects on the behaviours.
This is a very moving and important post. I hope that people will take its message to heart. I think that many people struggle with this issue, where they feel ashamed or guilty for caring about their appearance; they are afraid of being criticized as vain. So people need to feel that it is okay and even healthy to take a happy pride in their appearance. Like you say, it is also important to take good care of one’s inner life, but there is no reason why we can’t do both. Your post shows that it is vital that we indeed do take care of both. Thank you for sharing this message of hope and encouragement.
