Mizon Snail Repair Cream Review

UPDATE (02 Apr 2016) – I reviewed Mizon’s Black Snail Cream on my other blog. Have a look!

Remember the Mizon Snail Eye cream that I reviewed earlier? The Mizon Snail Repair Cream came with that purchase. Although I am liking the Secret Key snail cream, I am keen to try out and do a Mizon Snail Repair Cream review, and I did. This small satchel only had enough for 3 applications, so I can’t tell for sure of the full benefits. I am purchasing the full size (refer to the detailed review below) and will do a 2nd review after using for at least a week.

[The Missy’s Say]

Rich, but absorbs very quickly.

After touch:
Amazingly, it leaves barely any tackiness within a minute of two after application.

Comparing this to Secret Key snail cream – SK is richer and more moisturizing, It will be perfect for colder and drier climate, and better for dry or matured skin too. I only use the cream in the night, because it is too rich in the day.

Unscented, perhaps a subtle hint of ‘plasticky’ smell, but it doesn’t bother me at all.

  • Hydration– Can’t tell for sure since the satchel served 3 applications only. I believe it provides enough moisture though, since no tightness was experienced.
  • Wrinkles and lines – I don’t know if it helps with wrinkles, I don’t have deep wrinkles, but am developing fine lines. However, because they are not prominent, I can’t say if there is any noticeable effect on that department.
  • Healing properties – Can’t say for sure too, but I will know soon when I use it long enough after I purchase the full size product.
  • Other benefits – My primary concerns are sebum control, no breakouts, pores minimizing, suppleness, and acne marks healing. I can only review on these concerns after using for at least 1-2 weeks.
What I like best:
Mizon snail repair cream is absorbed by the skin amazingly fast. It leaves a very comfortable smooth touch. While I have enjoyed Secret Key’s snail cream much, it is much richer and I do wake up to oilier skin, while Mizon’s left a natural glow in the morning.
Although I have only used 3 times, it is enough for me to purchase the full size. My skin is very sensitive, if the product doesn’t agree with my skin, it usually only take one application to trigger adverse reaction.

Buy it here:

I love conspiracy theories (who doesn’t!). Shortly after I posted the tips on maximizing savings on Qoo10 (and that post ranks highly in the blog stats), the coupons are drastically reduced (like none right now!!), the events bar is gone (and I can tell it’s stripped off from the original template of their website), the discount structure revised (cart discount now has a limitation of discounted amount), and even the once a month 30% discount coupon that you get from playing the lucky spin has a lowered redemption value (used to be maximum $5; now $4), in addition, the shortcut to the lucky spin is removed from the side menu too! The husband blames me for advertising the tips; oh well, maybe I really bust their profits?

Anyway, even without the coupons, the prices offered on Qoo10 are very competitive, and usually much lower than what are offered at the retail stores. Sellers also run frequent promotions, so if you are not in a hurry to get the products, just add the items to cart and monitor for promotions.
